Thanks for stopping by. I missed having some kind of a blog and decided now was maybe a good time to start one up again. I’m getting tired of most social media platforms like Facebook, etc. I finally deleted my Twitter account right before the pandemic and honestly do not miss the negativity and hostility I witnessed every time I would go in.

So. Let’s get a little formal. I’m Christian Keith Ainsley, I go by my middle name with friends. Turned 50 at the end of January and it sank in that I am in the middle age time of my life. I live in the Hampton Roads region of Virginia (near Virginia Beach).

Used to be almost 250 lbs, heading to diabetes and all kinds of health problems. I’ve successfully dropped 50 lbs and in much better health. Used to have hair until I finally got tired of the bald spot on the back of my head and now keep it shaved.

I hope to post more information about what I am learning about a healthy lifestyle as well as things I’ve learned this far in life. Hoping it may be useful to others or maybe give a good laugh along the way. I am really happy that I was able to get the weight off me and feel better about myself. I want to enjoy my life as long as I can. Don’t want to end up like a lot of miserable people that I see.

Still a work in progress but I’m learning more each day. Exercise and staying as active as possible during this crazy time in life has helped keep me mostly sane.

It’s funny. At this age people expect they I have my act together, life figured out and have lots of wisdom. Actually, act not all together, still figuring out life and I’m always good at telling others what they should do but find it hard to follow the advice I freely share with others.

Love the beach. Ocean crashing against the shore. Sunshine and tan lines. Beaches were closed until right before July 4th so my time there isn’t what it used to be this year.

Love tech! Almost have everything Apple. Fiddling around with Linux as well. Love communications and hold an amateur radio license. Haven’t used it much the past year.
