The end of 2020

I sit in my office today. Wishing I had stayed home instead. Today is the last day of 2020. At the moment I don’t know what to think about it. Am I really believing 2021 is going to suddenly be all rosy and life is normal?

No. Don’t believe it for a second. Too many people’s lives disrupted or destroyed. I think we haven’t seen the tip yet.

I do wish it was summer. At least I could get to the beach and escape the insanity for a few hours.

Took a walk after I ate lunch. This sidewalk isn’t like a New York City type of traffic but at least you’d see more people on it than you do now.

Just gloom around everywhere. You look everywhere for a glimpse of humanity and warmth.

Yet, we hang on. We put faith in the future that we will get through this. The question is what will we be on the other side?
