I received a late Christmas present from my friend, Tammie, in the United Kingdom.

Surprised how this thoughtful gesture cheered me up when I saw it in the mailbox. Unlike emails and text messages, this was from someone who took the time to actually write a message in a card and mail it. It also cost them to do so.

For a moment, I don’t feel alone in the world as I have for most of the day.
