As children it seems only natural to want to skip ahead and be an adult. Only to find it when you get there it’s not all it’s cracked up to be.

Sure, you are able to decide yourself when to go to your room, bedtime, etc. whatever you were upset about as a child, you call the shots.
Or do you really?
Be careful what you wish for comes to mind.
Fortunately, it’s not like the movie Big, where you wake up instantly an adult in all but mind.

No. I can do whatever I want… if I want to accept the consequences. They don’t tell you that part. I could say to hell with my job and leave. Without something else lined up and ready to go you’ll be without a paycheck. Then you will be hurting putting a roof over your head, paying bills, etc.
So don’t rush life wanting to be an adult. You’ll end up looking back at your childhood wishing that the only things concerning you was what your parents said you can’t do.
