Today is 41 days of not stopping to purchase a pack of cigarettes. Not fighting to not light up in my automobile. Not wondering if I smell like a walking ashtray around people.

So far for me the urges have been more from a habit perspective than physical addiction issues. The nicotine gum has worked very well and compared to when I used patches years ago, seem more effective.
My stops and spending at convenience stores has decreased dramatically. I’ve gone from spending $7 to $14 a day for cigarettes 🚬 to $8 every few days for nicotine gum.
Now I’m going to work on spacing the gum out as long as I can. I want to see if I get urges where I need one or not.
