First Landing State Park

Friday I went to First Landing State Park in Virginia Beach, VA. I had discovered by accident the little secluded beach area that I never knew was there and wanted to see more of the area with the very nice weather we were having.

I am glad I went. It was what the doctor ordered: a good healthy dose of nature! I was able to get in an almost 3 mile hike and got plenty of good photos. I also made an unexpected friend who stayed and let me take some photos as well as a video

I didn’t want to leave and wish I had thrown my beach chair and flip flops in the car. The water here is not the ocean but part of the Broad Bay / Linkhorn Bay.

What was also nice is I was in a city with a population of a little over 400,000 yet everything was quiet and peaceful. Couldn’t ask for more.

Can’t wait to go do more exploring.
